Öko-Tex Standard 100 is a global association for standardized testing and certification of textile raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products at all stages of production.
Testing for harmful substances includes:
- Prohibited substances (e.g., carcinogenic dyes)
- Legally controlled substances (e.g., formaldehydes, heavy metals)
- Substances known to be harmful to health but not legally banned (e.g., pesticides, allergy-triggering dyes)
- Other safety parameters, such as pH, to protect health
Textile products can only be certified according to Öko-Tex Standard 100 if all components meet the required criteria without exception.
In the future, DonCha plans to gradually transition to the most natural and verified materials possible, if not entirely. This may, however, be reflected in slightly higher prices.
