I recommend <strong>removing droppings and leftover vegetables daily or at least every other day<\/strong>. You can use a small broom and dustpan, a handheld vacuum, or a brush. The liner can also be rolled up and shaken outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If it\u2019s not already wet, you can simply <strong>flip it over and use the other side for another day or two<\/strong> before washing. It\u2019s recommended to change the liner every <strong>5 days<\/strong>, depending on the size of your pet\u2019s habitat and how many pets you have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your pet is <strong>trained to use a \u201cdesignated potty area\u201d<\/strong>, it\u2019s even easier, and the liner lasts longer. For corners or favorite potty spots, I recommend additional <strong>\u201cmini LuLu liners\u201d<\/strong>, which can be changed more often, reducing the need to wash the larger liner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>DonCha also offers \u201cmini LuLu liners.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Caring for Your Liners:<\/strong><br>With proper care, a liner can last <strong>over a year<\/strong>\u2014hundreds of washes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Do not use fabric softener<\/strong> (it prevents urine from passing through fleece)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use <strong>gentle detergent<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wash regularly at <strong>40\u00b0C<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Air dry<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wash once before first use with a gentle program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The liner may shrink slightly after washing (so I make them about 7\u202fcm larger than the final size)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use <strong>mini LuLu liners<\/strong> in high-traffic potty areas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip:<\/strong> After washing, run a <strong>short empty wash cycle with a little vinegar<\/strong> to remove any leftover hair in the drum. For example, I use a 15-minute quick program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why Are They Expensive?<\/strong><br>The liners are made from <strong>two layers of fleece and two layers of high-absorbency bamboo fabric in the middle<\/strong>. Bamboo fabric is also used for <strong>human baby diapers<\/strong>, so it\u2019s completely safe.
